Aileen Wuornos

Aileen Carol Wuornos, whose name of birth was Aileen Pittman, was born on
February 29, 1956 in Rochester (Michigan, the United States) and she is
considered the first serial killer woman of America. Her infancy was very
problematic owed partly to adolescents parents who separated months before she
was born. In 1960, her mother, Diane Pratt, left her and her brother Keith.
Aileen and Keith were adopted by their grandfathers, Lauri and Britta Wuornos.

little. In 1981 she was condemned for theft in Florida and she happened thirteen
months in prison. Other arrests were for spending checks without funds, stealing
a gun, driving without license, resistance the authority, false information,
stealing a car, excess of speed, intimidation, etc. Aileen met in a ambience bar
with a young lesbian barmaid, Tyria Moore, and they became lovers. The couple
remained together for four years and they survived of the small income that
Aileen was obtaining of the prostitution and other crimes. The complicity
between both girls led them to a spiral of vandalism, violence and hate. Aileen

started killing. The body of her first victim, Richard Mallory, a 51-year-old
electrician, was found on December 13, 1989 close to Daytona Beach with three
shots of bullet. Six months later another corpse without identifying of a man
appeared with six shots of bullet carried out with the same weapon. Her victims
were, at least, six men, between whom there were Charles Carskaddon (worker in
detours), Peter Siems (merchant and missionary sailor), Eugene Burress (worker
in a factory of sausages), Dick Humphreys (chief of retired police officer) and
Walter Antonio (truck driver). At first the police were refusing to establish a
relation between the crimes but the mass media exercised such a pressure that
finally they accepted to make public the information that they had so that the
people were helping in the identification. The police received four calls that
were identifying the murderesses as Aileen Wuornos y Tyria Moore. The detectives
arrested Aileen soon, and also to her partner Tyria Moore. Arlene Pralle, an
illuminated and fervent believer, adopted her legally in November, 1991 after
confessing that God had said to her that she should help Aileen. By request of
Moore, Aileen confessed the responsibility of six murders, all realized
supposedly in self-defense before the violation of the men when she was
prostitute. After a long judgment and a psychiatric examination, she was
sentenced to death and executed in Florida, by order of Jeb Bush, by means of
lethal injection on October 9, 2002. The history of Aileen Wuornos was taken to
the movies in 2003 under the title of Monster, obtaining an Oscar the African
actress Charlize Theron who played her part. The American society was
scandalized by the fact that Aileen and her lawyer were selling the rights of
the history to Hollywood, whereas three investigators of the case were doing the
