Sinéad O'Connor

Singer Sinéad O'Connor was born in Dublin
(Ireland), in 1966. She made debut with the simple "Troy", in which she was
speaking about her mother (deceased in a car accident two years earlier) and

had a big international success with a version of the ballad of Prince "Nothing
Compares 2U". With her second disk I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got

she had a son so-called Jake. In 2002 she married again Nicholas Sommerlad, a
journalist supposedly related to the Queen of Sweden, of whom she separated on
the following year. She had a daughter, Roisin, with the journalist John Waters
and a son with the musician Donal Lunny. Her polemic opinions and her skin
esthetics have always caused a big fuss: supporter of the IRA, the abortion,
fiercely critical with the minors' abuse, her denial to rise to the stage if the
American anthem was touching, the scorn to the catholic religion breaking a
photo of the Pope in the television, her arranging as priest for a dissident
bishop (immediately after which she was excommunicated), etc. Her successes was
in slope up to her retreat in 2003. She has taken part in concerts in favor of
the human rights and different humanitarian causes. She declared herself
publicly lesbian in the magazine Curls. Later she clarified in a
program of television that actually she was bisexual and that only she had
supported three relations with women.
